Final year Project 1

Week 3(Find supervisor and title)

On week 3 we have to find and brief our project to our supervisor. So, on the week 3 i have already search for my supervisor which i have choose madam zunaini as my supervisor and we discussed about he project that can introduced my tittle project to madam zunaini also to give suggestion which project are more batter . Then for final decision, i have choose (Development to social distancing and monitor using IOT ) as my project and i just wait for approval from my supervisor .

Week 4(Register title)

On week 5 all student Fyp 1 need to register title to the supervisor and discussed with the supervisor about the project that we choose. Then my supervisor have agreed with my project which is (The development of smart traffic light monitoring system using Arduino) and proceed with it and register me as the candidate for fyp 1 subject.

Week 5(Brief to FYP)

On week 3 the briefing of fyp 1 was conducted by using a Microsoft teams. It started from 3 pm. to 4.30 pm. Attendances was compulsory to fyp1, fyp 2 and diploma fyp student. the objective is to briefing about the introduction of fyp which related to finding a supervisor and a tittle of project.

What i understand from the briefing is:

1)can understand on how to write a good report on the proposal.

2)Get more information on how to get a good project and find a supervisor.

Week 6 (chapter 1 and chapter 2)

Week 6 ( workshop Chapter 1: introduction & Chapter 2 : Literature Review)

On week 6 all fyp 1 student need to come to workshop for learning chapter 1 (Introduction) & chapter 2 (Literature review) and it conducted by Sir Shahrizal. This workshop is compulsory and attendance are taking. This workshop start from 3 pm to 5 pm .With this kind of workshop it really help me to start my chapter 1 & 2 lot of knowledge that can I get from this workshop.

Week 7

On week 7 ,i start to manage to do chapter 1 which content :

Research background, Problem Statement, Objective project, Significant project, Scope and Limitation of project, and Summary of Introduction

Week 8

On week 8 we just focus to find a research that related to our project. The article or the journal need to be in the latest update.

Week 9

On week 9 i have draft a chapter 2 which is Literature Review. Chapter 2 is where we discusses a past related project that can be compared to our project.

Week 10

On week 10 we have been brief about topic 3 (methodology). In this topic, we mention the component that we use to build the project. For my project, I divide my work into 2 part which is the software and hardware part. Software part is where we design the proposed structure of the project using such as example by using AutoCad or Solid Work. The hardware part is the component such as Arduino and wireless module and gsm that we use after we pass the software testing. Also, this topic is where we explain the flow and progress of the project; illustrate using flow chart and block diagram.

Week 11

On week 11 there is no briefing about the FYP 1 proposal defense day but we have to proceed with our preparation slide and report and try to get contact with our supervisor to check our slide before the presentation day on week 12.

Week 12

On this week all the student of FYP 1 have to present and defend our project that will be access of two accessor. Before we start our presentation one day early we practice do presentation with our supervisor, our supervisor always guide us on which part to do a correction on slide and presentation. Also this is the task before we can proceed with our project in FYP 2.The accessor will comment and give some advice that related to our project. So, it will help us to improve our project before present on FYP 2.

Week 13-Week 16

After the presentation day all the FYP 1 student have been given time to check our report on the trinitin website which is to check the plagiarism on our report. We have to make sure that the percentage of plagiarism is not more than 25% for this sem. But during each week it have a problem with the turnitin website, we have to contact our supervisor to check with them. I have already sent the draft of my report to my supervisor to check. Next i proceed to complete my final report before send it on week 17.

Week 17

On week 17 all the FYP 1 student need to submit the complete report to the supervisor and submit also the update of blog (logbook) that we write about each week activity. I already finish my complete report and i have send it by email to my supervisor.
